and-then-poster-for-webYou can also participate in a wine tasting event at The Wine Vineyard and see an old time radio production of Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None,” performed at Water House Food Cafe & Bakehouse on Friday & Saturday night. Tickets are $10 for the show, with dinner available for an additional $13 (dinner includes a choice of two great gourmet sandwiches, delicious dessert and drink.

Local theatre group, Penguin Productions, will be performing the classis Tennessee Williams’ play. “The Glass Menagerie” at the Renaissance Theatre in Lake Mills in May. The show will incorporate multi-media into the production, including film, text, photos, live and recorded music.

Glass Men PosterThe Glass Menagerie is a memory play, a recollection of the plays narrator, Tom Wingfield, played by Seth Habhegger of Lake Mills. It is set in St. Louis in 1937. The story revolves around Tom’s faded southern belle mother, Amanda, played by Diane Schultz of Watertown, and his handicapped sister, Laura, played by Heather Tongue of Waterloo. The action centers on Amanda’s attempt to provide a future for Laura, Tom’s yearning for adventure and the arrival of a gentleman caller, Stephen Uselman of Watertown.
